I Introduction

I love science fiction… I also love bad movies and pizza but that’s beside the point. My point is that I love science fiction, I love the ideas that can come from the genre, the things that it can inspire. The concept of traveling through space to distant worlds, seeing strange new creatures and things that only the imagination can manufacture. Like a lot of fans of the genre my first exposure was from both Star Wars and Star Trek (though for me it was Star Trek TNG since the original series was a bit before my time), and ever since I’ve always had my head in the clouds, and at times further still far beyond the stars always wondering what was out there and would we ever find out in my own lifetime. I suppose the chances of knowing what really lies beyond the stars during my lifetime is slim but that doesn’t keep me and a lot of us from hoping that one day we just might.

Over the years, through constant daydreaming, my own vision of a land far away began to emerge it was bits and pieces at first, but over time I would begin to see it more and more in my mind’s eye. Images in my dreams would start to pop into my mind while I was awake and eventually from seeing it so often I would inevitably begin to take notes on what my imagination was creating while I went through the daily routines of life. Over time those notes began turning into more concrete ideas, first a website and eventually a blog where I could really start to lay out what I was seeing not just for me but for anyone that wanted a. Within these pages is every thought and idea that has evolved over time into what is now “Project Aonair” a living science fiction work, one that is constantly changing as I learn more and more about the world that started off as just a faint thought.

I do not, nor have I ever, proclaimed to be a professional writer for one thing I’m not arrogant enough to think that putting the word professional in front of something makes it true. What I am though is a dreamer and now, after all these years of dreaming I want to share it with everyone that wishes to see it. This isn’t a traditional book, it is for the most part a description of a planet I’ve created and shaped over the years. Inside you’ll find descriptions of the terrain, atmosphere, people, places, creatures, and anything and everything that makes a planet complete.

As I’ve also said this is a living piece of science fiction, and thanks to the age we live in it won’t stop once I place the last period, it will grow bigger and bigger over time, changing what doesn’t work and adding new things that make it even more wonderful over time. Like a lot of people I’ve wanted my life to have some significance beyond working the daily grind to make ends meet, all I want is to share something I’ve created, and if even just one person enjoys it then I can safely say my life is complete.

From the bottom of my heart I thank you for taking the time to explore this world that I’ve spent so long living in, may it spark your imagination as it has mine.
