Introduction

Welcome to the world of Aonair

For the past fifteen years or so, Aonair has gone through nearly a hundred  incarnations and revisions, usually always being jotted down here and there in various notebooks and sketchbooks but for the most part always keeping it to myself. In the beginning, long before blogging and personal web space was the norm for nearly everyone, I was more than content to keeping it to myself (fate on the other hand decided otherwise through two different events, one horrible the other just weird).

I’m not going to go into the details of the exact reason why I decided to put this out where everyone can see it (and probably pick it apart piece by piece), the main reason is too depressing and really, too private anyway. What I will tell you is that aside from the one very big reason, there are many smaller but equally important reason why I’m sharing it all. I’ve kept this all to myself for far too long and I want to share it with others, to share with you what I see and envision when I close my eyes and let my mind wander.

A lot of what I’ve already created needs major work in a lot of ways, but that is all part of the fun really so I hope you’ll join me on this adventure and have as much fun loosing yourself and exploring this world as I have creating and improving it.

About

Aonair is an ongoing project, creating a living and breathing science fiction world, blending it with fantasy elements, and bringing it to life and letting it grow and evolve beyond its humble beginnings.

I’ve been working on this for over fifteen years and it is very dear to me but I also want to share it as it grows so that other’s can enjoy it as much as I do. It’s science fiction for sure, but also a lot of fantasy as well, but I suppose who it’s really aimed at (if anyone at all) is people who enjoy seeing something new or at least from someone new who has never really done anything along these lines before. This is also something that can grow from the input I get, at some point it won’t just be mine, it will be everyone’s, a world we can all visit even if it is only in the imagination but then again what better place to be right?

As it stands now, my update schedule is two a month, one in the middle and one at the end and mostly those updates are to recap all the work I do throughout the month. If you can’t wait for the two major updates that drop that is the reason I have a Twitter account dedicated specifically for Aonair and you can find it here.
